Resources

The State Library provides resources accessible to all Nevadans. We have a Nevada-centric collection--meaning that most of our books and digital resources pertain to the history, laws, and resources of the state. We are also pleased to provide a large collection of state and federal publications. In fact, the State Library is the depository for official publications coming from the Nevada Ssate printing press.

We provide research guidance for our collection, including our vast collection of microfilmed newspapers. If we do not have what you need, we will determine who does. We are happy to send you to the State Archives (located just upstairs) or help you find the resources you need in an external collection.

In addition to our range of non-fiction titles, we also provide some works of fiction by Nevada authors or about the Silver State. We have 18 public computers for patrons to use and free WiFi accessible both in the library and the library building lobby.
