Resources for the Public

The State Library provides resources accessible to all Nevadans. We have a Nevada-centric collection--meaning that most of our books and digital resources pertain to the history, laws, and resources of the state. We are also pleased to provide a large collection of state and federal publications. In fact, the State Library is the depository for official publications coming from the Nevada State printing press.

We are pleased to provide research guidance for our collection, including our vast collection of microfilmed newspapers. If we do not have what you need, we will determine who does. We are happy to send you to the State Archive (located just upstairs) or help you find the resources you need.

In addition to our range of non-fiction titles, we also provide some works of fiction by Nevada authors or about the Silver State. We have a dozen public computers for patrons to use and free WiFi accessible both in the library and the Library Building lobby.
